About Mundth Audio Production Services
My name is Nick Mundth, and I founded Mundth Audio Production Services to bring my 15+ years of experience as a musician and audio engineer to performers and creators looking for affordable and professional audio production work.
From starting on the trombone in elementary school, to picking up the drums in high school, to pursuing degrees in both Music (B.A. Music - Liberal Arts, Winona State University) and Audio Recording Technology (A.A.S. Recording Technology, McNally Smith College of Music), music has always been a big part of my life. While my career has sometimes veered into non-musical realms, I’ve always tried to maintain that connection, whether it be learning to play the guitar in recent years, building up my “Sonic Daycare” home recording studio (more info below), starting lots of songs/projects but never quite finishing them (some are almost done, I swear!), or most recently by joining a new band as the drummer (Fiberweed).
If you’d like some recent examples of my work, check out Fiberweed’s self-titled EP from 2023 and Spiral Suns EP from 2024 (link above). In addition to playing the drums on those EPs, all the recording was done at my “Sonic Daycare” home studio, and the production, editing, and mixing was done by me. Other credits of mine include:
The May North - Interstate Lives (2012): recording & mix engineer
The May North - Songs from the North Country (2011): recording & mix engineer
The Sugar Loaf Gang - Songs from The Hideaway (2011): recording engineer
Kelly Jo Mitchell - An Acoustic Christmas (2010): recording engineer
About “Sonic Daycare”
My home-based recording studio, nicknamed the “Sonic Daycare”, is located about 25 minutes outside of Madison, Wisconsin. I aim to provide a comfortable and inviting space to record, while offering professional-level results.
Between the spacious downstairs live room capable of accommodating multiple performers, to the isolation room that can fit a full-sized drum kit or be cleared out for vocal/instrument tracking, to the baby grand piano upstairs, there’s plenty of room to be creative at the “Sonic Daycare” studio.
Plus, the combination of gear at “Sonic Daycare" allows up to 16 channels of audio to be recorded simultaneously. Whether you’re looking to record a single vocal track, a full band performance, or anything in between, we can make it happen at “Sonic Daycare.” For a full list of gear found at “Sonic Daycare” or to view photos, click the links below:
If you’ve stuck with me this far, and think that I would make a good navigator for your musical journey, let’s talk!
