Editing
Do you have recordings that you need edited and time aligned? A vocal track that needs tuning? Or noisy audio files that you want cleaned up? Whatever the case, MAPS is ready to take on your editing project. Editing will be done via PreSonus Studio One Professional DAW and will make use of plugins including iZotope RX 10, Antares Auto-Tune, and Celemony Melodyne. We will set up a secure file transfer to send and receive your files, and all files will be sent in WAV format.
Recording
Looking to record at the “Sonic Daycare” studio? From voiceovers, to podcasts, to solo artists or full bands, the Sonic Daycare is ready to go. With the spacious live room, cozy iso room, and control room downstairs, and the baby grand piano upstairs, there’s plenty of room to be creative. Plus, the homey atmosphere and low-key vibe will keep you relaxed and comfortable during your session.
Mixing
Do you have a multi-track recording that is ready to be mixed? With a combination of analog outboard gear, high-quality plugins, and the Softube Console 1 hybrid mixing system, MAPS will help create compelling mixes for both you and your listeners. Mixing will be done via PreSonus Studio One Professional DAW. We will set up a secure file transfer to send and receive your files and mix revisions (as needed), and all files will be sent in WAV format.
Consulting & Collaboration
Are you looking for a fresh set of ears to listen to your new mix or recording? Are you looking for input on the musical or lyrical content of your song? How about an instrumental part such as drums/percussion, guitar, piano, or synths to flesh out your next track? That’s a lot of questions, I know, but if any of these fit your bill, let’s start a discussion!
Media Digitization
Do you have audio cassettes or 33/45 RPM vinyl records that you’d like to preserve for the future? If so, MAPS offers the ability to create digital copies of your media for archival purposes or to play back from your devices. The conversion process makes use of a Tascam 130 deck for cassettes or an Audio-Technica AT-LP60 turntable for vinyl connected to a Universal Audio Apollo x8 interface for top-notch analog-to-digital conversion. If the files contain any noise, popping, clicks, humming, etc., audio cleanup software including iZotope’s RX 10 will be used to create the cleanest recordings possible.
